It has a rounded front edge instead of a sharp corner. It looks softer and is more comfortable underfoot, as on the London Stone porcelain steps we clad in Shortlands.

Outdoor porcelain has a textured surface made for gardens, and it is far less slippery than algae-covered old slabs. Keeping steps clean and free of moss keeps them grippy.
