Two-level porcelain patio and steps in Norbury

Katie's garden in Norbury was fully dug out and rebuilt as a two-level patio. We laid around 50m² of 60x90 porcelain across an upper and a lower terrace, and built four new steps in concrete, clad in the same porcelain, to link the two levels. Everything was supplied and fitted in one week, for £12,000 including VAT.

Where we started

The brief

Katie's garden in Norbury sits on two levels. The aim was a clean, modern patio on both, with proper steps between them so the whole garden is easy to use.

The garden was fully dug out and rebuilt from the ground up, with the steps formed in concrete and finished in the same porcelain as the paving. It is right on our doorstep: our base is in Norbury, and it is typical of the patios in Norbury we build.

The tricky parts

What went into it

01

A full dig-out

The garden was dug out completely and rebuilt, rather than laying new slabs over the old ground.

02

Around 50m² of porcelain on two levels

Around 50m² of 60x90 porcelain was laid across an upper and a lower terrace, giving two usable outdoor spaces.

03

Four concrete steps, clad to match

Four new steps were built in concrete and then clad in the same porcelain as the patio, so the levels join seamlessly.

04

Done in a week

Everything was supplied and fitted in one week.

Step by step
