This post and rail fence along a gravel driveway in Beckenham is made entirely of iroko hardwood, for Peter. The 175mm x 175mm posts were ordered from Africa and stand 1.2m above the ground, along a 6m run. £4,500 including VAT, of which £3,000 was the materials alone, and we installed it.

Where we started
The brief
Peter wanted a short run of fence along the driveway in Beckenham, built entirely from iroko hardwood.
Iroko was the choice, with every part of the fence made from it and heavy 175mm x 175mm posts ordered from Africa. It is a very different job from most of the fencing in Beckenham we install, and shows what is possible when the material is the main feature.
