Custom pergola and composite deck in Barnes

The end of Tracy's garden in Barnes was just concrete. We dug it all out and built a custom timber pergola over new grey composite decking, with timber sleeper flowerbeds boxed in around it on three levels. Everything was supplied and installed, with the waste taken away, for £9,000 including VAT.

Where we started

The brief

Tracy's garden in Barnes had an area of plain concrete. It was dug out completely to make way for the new pergola, deck and flowerbeds.

A pergola, composite deck and flowerbeds built together give a defined outdoor space with planting around it. It is a good example of the pergolas and decking we build around Putney and Barnes.

The tricky parts

What went into it

01

A full dig-out

The existing concrete was fully dug out and the waste taken away, included in the price.

02

Flowerbeds on three levels

Timber sleepers were used to build boxed-in flowerbeds around the deck on three levels.

03

A custom-built pergola

The timber pergola was custom built for this space rather than bought as a kit.

04

Grey composite decking

Grey composite boards were supplied and installed over a new subframe.

Step by step

How we built it
