Taking out the previous work
Everything the previous contractor had done was taken out so the build could start again from scratch.
Case study · New Malden KT3 · May 2024
Carole and Alan's garden in New Malden had been started by a previous contractor. We took over, took out everything that had been done, designed the garden in 3D and rebuilt it from the ground up: a yellow balau hardwood deck, around 50m² of 60x90 Egyptian limestone, around 30m² of block paving, large walls and steps mostly in brick, and white silicone render. Five weeks, £44,000 including VAT, all supplied and installed.
Where we started
Carole and Alan came to us after work had been started by a previous contractor. Everything that had been done had to come out before the garden could be built properly.
We designed the new garden in 3D so the levels, walls, steps and materials were clear before building started. It is a good example of the landscaping in New Malden, decking in New Malden and garden walls in New Malden we take on.
Before & after
The tricky parts
Step by step
We designed the garden in 3D first, so the layout, levels and materials were planned before work began.
All of the previous contractor's work was taken out and the ground was dug out for the new build.
Large walls and steps went up, mostly in brick with some in blocks.
The yellow balau deck was built and the boards fixed down.
The 60x90 Egyptian limestone and the block paving footpath were laid.
Budget
This project cost £44,000 including VAT, all supplied and installed: taking out the previous work, a 3D design, a yellow balau deck, around 50m² of 60x90 Egyptian limestone, around 30m² of block paving, large brick and block walls and steps, and white silicone render, over five weeks.
